15 days left to submit for Sine Negrense film competition

There are fifteen days remaining for Negrosanon filmmakers to submit entries for this year’s Sine Negrense: Negros Island Film Festival competition. The last day of submission is October 15, 2022.

 

This film competition is open to all Negrosanon who were born on the island and/or currently reside there. Entry forms and competition guidelines can be accessed through www.sinenegrense.com.

 

Finalists will be unveiled on November 3, 2022.

 

The short film finalists will be screened during the 2022 Sine Negrense: Negros Island Film Festival, happening on 21st until the 27th of November at Cinematheque Centre Negros. 

 

The best short feature film in the open category will be awarded a cash prize amounting to P30,000 and an Ang Kadungganan sang Hangkilan trophy during the Sine Negrense Awards Night on November 27, 2022, at Ayala Malls Capitol Central Cinema.

 

Sine Negrense: Negros Island Film Festival continues to provide a viable outlet of expression and aims to bring out a new generation of filmmakers and enthusiasts, as well as cultivate an informed public on the importance of Cinema and Storytelling in the context of National Identity, Culture and Heritage. 

 

This event is in partnership with the Film Development Council of the Philippines, the Province of Negros Occidental, the Negros Cultural Foundation and the Negros Museum.
